SONOKINESIS

Techno-somatic sound performance

SONOKINESIS explores entangled dualities between body and machine, sound and movement, music and dance—reframing performance and composition through a post-humanist lens. Drawing inspiration from cyborg theory and the aesthetics of the technologically-augmented body, the work challenges traditional separations between human and non-human agency, proposing instead a fluid, co-creative exchange between dancer, sensor, and sound system.

SONOKINESIS engages participants in an immersive audio-visual experience where motion becomes music, and gesture generates sonic textures. By collapsing the boundaries between performer and instrument, the piece invites new forms of embodiment and interaction, questioning how technology reshapes our perception of identity, agency, and presence in performative spaces.
